[ROADSHOW] Plastics Recycling – Towards A Circular Economy
Time: 11 April 2023 | 8h30 – 11h30
Venue: La Casa Ha Noi (17 Pham Dinh Ho St, Hai Ba Trung District, Hanoi)
Nowadays, the world economic system in general and Vietnam in particular relies on the use of low-cost, easily accessible resources. The accumulation of more and more waste in the environment, especially plastic waste, makes the burden of environmental waste increasingly larger. According to statistics of the Vietnam Plastics Association, the amount of plastic waste and plastic bags in Vietnam accounts for about 8% to 12% of domestic solid waste, but only about 11% to 12% of the amount of plastic waste, plastic bags are treated and recycled, the rest is mainly buried, burned and discharged into the environment.
Therefore, the recycling of plastic and related products is an urgent issue, for the development of a circular economy – allowing trade and growth to benefit from positive economic and social benefits, society and the environment across supply chains, business models and life cycles, service design to end-cycle reuse and recycling of products.
Understanding the needs of enterprises operating in Vietnam and the government direction of economic development associated with environmental protection. Informa Markets Vietnam in collaboration with our strategic partner – Vietnam Plastics Association (VPA) organizes a roadshow with the topic: “PLASTIC RECYCLING – TOWARDS A CIRCULAR ECONOMY”
As part of events toward The International Plastics & Rubber Technologies and Materials Exhibition for Hanoi – Plastics & Rubber Vietnam, Hanoi 2023, we are looking forward to meeting up with experts, leading plastic industry peers to update important information about the current situations, solutions to apply to the production process of enterprises.
